Who is the singer of Max's favorite song?
Running Up That Hill, by British artist Kate Bush, is one of the most listened to songs in the world when it appears in the first episode of the new season of Stranger Things.
The fourth and final season of the Netflix original series, Stranger Things, is now available on the streaming service. But, in addition to the continuation of the long-awaited series, one of the most talked-about subjects on social networks was the chosen soundtrack.

Set in the 1980s, the songs correspond to those that were successful at the time in the United States and around the world. One of them, Running Up That Hill, by artist Kate Bush, reached the top of the charts and became a hit on the networks after appearing as the favorite song of Max, Sadie Sink's character in the series.

The song is part of the album “Hounds of Love”, the fifth album released by the singer, in 1985. The lyrics refer to romantic relationships, and the lyrical self's desire to better understand the emotions of the object of its affection.
"Running Up That Hill", chosen by the series production to be a favorite of the character Maxine "Max" Mayfield, was originally released under the name "A Deal With God", and rose to the top of the international charts after becoming popular with fans of Stranger Things, which, for the most part, are a younger audience, who didn't know Bush in his 80s heyday.
Other Kate Bush songs are also getting more streams since her “rediscovery,” such as “Babooshka” and “Wuthering Heights”, whose lyrics allude to Emily Brontë’s famous Gothic novel “Wuthering Heights.” The singer, who has moved away from the industry and music career, despite still releasing projects sporadically, is known for writing and producing all her work, apart from her first album.
Kate Bush is a huge influence on pop, alternative, synthpop, and experimental music, as an artist who has tested the waters of different musical genres and mixed them in her work.
The second part of the fourth season of Stranger Things will be released on July 1, only on Netflix.
