Stranger Things 5 will have a time jump to match the age of the cast
“Believe it or not, we're still working on season four," said Ross. "We're trying to finish the final two episodes, they're so massive."
Duffer Brothers Talked About Plans for the Show's Final Season
In an interview with TV Line , the Duffer Brothers revealed what is already planned for the final season of Stranger Things .
Asked about the growth of the main cast, Ross Duffer stated that the story will be adjusted to keep up with the age of the actors:
"I’m sure we will do a time jump. Ideally, we’d have shot (Seasons 4 and 5) back to back, but there was just no feasible way to do that."
About the path the story will take, Matt Duffer stated that the two have already mapped out much of the plot, but they know that a lot can change along the way:
“The ending is the hardest and most stressful part. We want to get the closure right. We learn a lot every time we do a new season. We learned a lot from the cast and crew, who we worked with for a long time in Season 4. So I'm sure some things will change.”
As for when the new episodes will begin shooting, the creators have stated that it is not yet possible to say a date.
“Believe it or not, we're still working on season four. We're finishing up the final two episodes, which are pretty big."
Stranger Things 4 Volume 1 is available on Netflix . The second part of the season arrives on July 1st.
