The producers also reveal more plot details, which will take place in two timelines. In the first, Jade Wesker (Ella Balinska), the daughter of Albert (Lance Reddick), will be dealing with the outbreak of a pandemic in 2022. The other will take place in 2036, with the character as an adult battling apocalyptic monsters as well as her father's past in the mysterious Umbrella.
The plot is not expected to have direct connections to the film series starring Milla Jovovich, nor the 2021 Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City reboot.
Resident Evil: The Series hits streaming on July 14th. The cast is completed by Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph and Paola Nuñez.
