Paramount announces three animated Avatar: The Legend of Aang films

Franchise creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino will produce the projects.

By surprise, Paramount Animation announced this Wednesday (15) that it is developing three animated films of Avatar: The Legend of Aang . The information is from Variety .

The trilogy will be based on the Nickelodeon animated story , which debuted in 2005 and ran for three seasons in all.


The projects will feature franchise creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino , who will serve as producers.


The first film will be directed by Lauren Montgomery , who also worked on the original animation.


"As creators Mike and Bryan expand the Avatar universe with us, we're keeping it 'in the family' with Lauren bringing the same kind of work and professionalism shown on the original series," added Ramsey Naito , Head of Animation. from Paramount Animation.


The Avatar: The Legend of Aang animated film trilogy does not have a release date.
